STUDY 1: RÁBAMENTI AGRÁR Ltd., Ikervár, Hungary

Livestock Manager: Fanni Süle-Kurcsics

This field trial was started in April 2018.

 This poultry farm had previous good experiences with the product. All livestock they treated with the product were seriously affected by poultry mite.

 Approximately 2 weeks after a 7-day long treatment through drinking water poultry mite have started to appear in great numbers, and gathered on the structural parts of the barn. If the number of mites was extremely high, a further treatment in form of an insecticide spray was applied on the livestock. The livestock managers could detect a continuously decreasing number of mites appearing in case of each upcoming livestock.

 Dermanyguard was applied through drinking water in the dose of 5 litres per 30000 birds, followed by the same treatment dose applied for 1 day each month.

 Dermanyguard has minimized the number of mites affecting the livestock. The farm workers were really happy with the results, as the irritability of the birds during handling and transportation (which caused a great challange for workers in the past) has decreased.

 All upcoming livestocks were less and less affected by mites. A 7-days treatment with Dermanyguard is started at each stock when the first mites are detected.

 Dermanyguard was incorporated in the farm’s technology thanks to its easy application, low level of labour input, effectiveness, and favourable price and value ratio, which contributed to a higher profit realization when compared to the previous periods of production.

 Depending on the health status of the livestock they also apply a supplement for liver protection (Superliv liquid) in order to enhance the absorption of the herbal ingredients of Dermanyguard.

STUDY 2: VITAL EGGS, Mezőhék, Hungary

Livestock Manager: Attila Ravasz

This field trial was started in February 2018.

 The management of this farm has tried several antiparasitic products against poultry mite in the past with very little success. They were determined to find a natural solution for this problem. They couldn’t try and use any new product having a period of delay, as this was a unit producing eggs for consumption.

 They have tested Dermanyguard in their poultry stocks since the beginning of 2018, and they decided to incorporate it in their technology due to its highly beneficial effects.

 Method of application: They start the 7-days application of the product 2-3 weeks after the arrival of the new stock in the dose of 3 litres per 14000 birds a day.

 This initial treatment is followed by a 1-day treatment with the same dose each month. They apply a supplement for liver protection as well for a couple of days before each treatment with Dermanyguard.

 They didn’t need to apply any additional antiparasitic products.

 After the first week of the treatment the poultry mites started to gather on the edges of the cages, than they all dried out and died.

 In case of any future livestocks the number of mites appearing fell to a minimum. Their traces weren’t even noticable on the cages or on the eggs. The irritation of the chickens have ceased, thus their production capacity hasn’t been negatively affected.

 Even the farm workers were alleviated by the absence of the mites.

Benefits of the use of Dermanyguard:
 Its use requires less labour force than the previously applied antiparasitic sprays, where it took 4 farm workers to clean 2 barns for 2 whole days. The use of these sprays were also very harmful for the environment. Only the cost of the labour for these works added up to a minimum of 1.500.000.- HUF per year, which amount can now be saved by the use of Dermanyguard.

 Also the cost of using these antiparasitic sprays are usually higher than the cost of the Dermanyguard treatment.

 Dermanyguard is safe, it has beneficial effects on the health of the livestock, and there is no period of delay.

 It is safe to use over a long period of time, there is no risk of addiction.

 It has a beneficial effect on the rates of production.

 If used as a preliminary treatment, it can prevent the eruption of the parasitic infection.

 The rate of contentment and comfort of the farm workers are also higher.

STUDY 3: BAUKÓ ÉS TÁRSA LTD., Békéscsaba, Hungary

Livestock Manager: Pál Baukó

This field trial was started in February 2018.

 They have tested Dermanyguard in a 14000-birds poultry stocks at the beginning of 2018, and they have decided to incorporate it in their technology due to its highly beneficial effects.

 Method of application: They start the 7-days application of the product 2-3 weeks after the arrival of the new stock in the dose of 3 litres per 14000 birds a day.

 This initial treatment is followed by a 1-day treatment with the same dose each month.

 After the first week of the treatment the poultry mites started to gather on the edges of the cages, than they all dried out and died.

 They have applied an additional anti-parasitic product (spray) as well besides Dermanyguard in order to get rid of the mites even faster. Thanks to the sort of „repellent” feature of Dermanyguard it was easier to aim at the mites with the spray.

 A telepi dolgozók elégedettek, mert a tyúktetű által okozott kellemetlenségek megszűntek. The farm workers were more content with their working conditions, as the inconveniences caused by the mites have disappeared.

 The use of the product is highly economical.

EXPERIENCES OF SMALL BREEDERS

„We have tried and tested so many products, but we couldn’t make an end to mite infection so far, it was only tilting at windmills. We have now been applying Dermanyguard on our stock in the past 10 days and it really seems that mites are all over. We are really grateful for your recommendation of this product. I hope it really doesn’t have any side-effects.”

„Our experiences are really positive. We have already done the 7-days treatment, and are now doing the one-day treatment after a month. It all seems to be working well.”

„I have tried to apply the product about a week ago. I have a small poultry stock, 40 birds, hens and roosters as well. Before starting the application I have fully cleaned their place, swept it all up, burnt the cages and perches with flame, and I have put sawdust and ashes below them. Their perches are made of iron, and I have treated it with flame as well. I can immediately notice on that if there are mites. It is enough to run over my fingers on it and if there is blood on my fingers, than they are sure to have mites. It is only in winter that I am using a wooden perch for my poultry. Ever since I am using the product I can see no signs of the mites. I administer it with their morning drinking water which they fully consume, and than they get plain water afterwards. This was my way of trying to get rid of the mites. The last year was horrible in terms of mites: I have struggled to get rid of them for weeks, flaming the place, whitewashing the place, fitting new perches (untill that point I had wooden perches), I applied bleach, hydric chlorid, vinegar, and other things, but till I had the wooden perches where the mites could hide in its cracks, nothing really helped. There came the idea of fitting in iron perches. Though they are much more expensive, they have no cracks to house mites and the struggle is over.”

„I have read it in many posts on poultry that if Dermanyguard is used as suggested it is very useful! It does not kill mites in a traditional way! Its ingredients prevent the mites to digest the blood of poultry. If the livestock is highly affected it can take a long time for the mites to disappear though. In such cases it is highly recommended to use an additional antiparasitic product as well. But if Dermanyguard is applied continuously, the mites won’t come back.”

„I am using this product and it is very useful, I can only recommend it!”

„I have spent a lot of money on different products, and nothing has helped, the mites kept coming back! I have been using Dermanyguard in the past 4 months and the mites are all gone now!”
